Sorry for the delay! Here we go ^^
Oh, wow. I’d say that I have two, really. The first is a family one - I regret not being able to spend more time with my granddad. He was my favourite grandparent, the one who supported me the most with his gentle words and easy smiles and endless love, and at times I catch myself wishing that he had not been the grandparent to go. I would have loved for him to see me graduate next July - me, the eldest of his five grandchildren. I guess he’ll be there still, but not in a way where I could go over to him in my graduation gown and see him laugh, eyes sparkling, about how his little granddaughter had grown to be a young, independent woman.
The second is my regret over listening to my father and my insecurities, and not following the career path I truly wanted to follow. I’ve spoken of it enough, and I know it’s foolish to curse your past self over something, but I honestly regret not filling in applications for English Literature instead.
I wish I could stop doubting myself. Stop doubting that I’m clever, or likeable, or funny, or wanted by friends and family. It’s so ridiculous, but even knowing that, being certain as to the idiocy of the thoughts, isn’t enough to mute the doubts and insecurities screaming to be heard at the corner of my mind. I wish I could stop worrying, to just be happy and confident in the way that I always encourage my loved ones to be. I just want it to stop.
Songs, music, work as keys in my mind. Music itself is a huge part of my life, my very being, and a lot of things are linked to tunes that I’ve heard, loved, and memorised. There are only a few songs that make me think of definite people, but countless memories of times in my past can be unlocked with a chord, a melody, a lyric.
With ‘Little Lion Man’, I am suddenly sitting on the front row of my sixth form tutor room, joking with a few of the boys in the group whilst one absently strums a banjo and others sing along. The first lines of any tune from ‘Spring Awakening’ will transport me to evenings with the Am Dram society, joking with fellow members between attempts at scenes and acts. The examples go on, almost endlessly, and those that don’t remind me of people I know remind me instead of my own characters.

If you replace the words Warlock/King/Sorcerer/magic with the word “Gay” Merlin is a whole different show.
"I’m a gay, I have gay" "Merlin, you are not a gay. I would know"
Congratulations, if yours made it on to this list; you should be both proud and ashamed of yourselves.
